Task Now
RTL-first PWA for tasks, assignees, alerts and a CEO dashboard, live at task-now.com.
- Internal tools
- 2026

Task Now began when a chief executive wanted to see, on one screen, what every person owed and what was late. The team wanted something lighter than the task tools they had stopped opening.
What was built. A progressive web app, installed from the browser with no store. Tasks have an owner, a due date and a status. Assignees get alerts when something is assigned or overdue. The CEO dashboard shows the whole company's open tasks grouped by person and by lateness, so a morning check takes a minute. The app is right-to-left first: Arabic is the primary language and the layout was designed in that direction.
Stack. React with Vite and TypeScript, a Hono API on PostgreSQL with Better Auth sessions, a service worker for install and offline, and the Claude API for the assistant features.
What was hard. Making it fast enough that people use it. The app shell loads once, data comes in small requests, and every screen is usable on a phone with one hand.
